Client Spotlight - 2018 Holiday Gift Guide

We’ve been happy to introduce you to some of our awesome clients through our Client Spotlights over the past few months – we’ll be continuing that series in the new year, but we’re switching it up just a bit for this month.

We’ve curated a Gift Guide for you, full of unique gifting ideas from a selection of our fantastic clients.   In addition to traditional gift options, we’ve included some ideas for organizations to donate to in honour of someone on your gift list.

Every woman should have a well fitting bra - it can change how an outfit looks, how her body feels, and it can even improve posture!  It is such a treat to experience a bra that fits properly.  Andrea, from Cedarlily Bra Boutique, is a welcoming and inclusive human who is amazing at her job - which is making women look and feel amazing.  Her range of styles and sizes, as well as reasonable price points, make her boutique a must-visit got ladies in the Guelph.  This holiday season, treat a woman on your gift list to a bra fitting (they're free, but she doesn't need to know that!" and a new properly fitted bra - as this is a highly personal item,  Gift Certificates are the best way to go, and right now, you can get a $60 Gift Card for only $50!  Head over here to claim one.

We are so proud of our fellow B Corp, Cupanion for the work they are doing to reduce waste and to make sure that clean drinking water is accessible to all.  They have a great line of products to choose from!

Whether you are shopping for a child (Hello, UNBREAKABLE The Cupanion Water Bottle!), or the coffee/tea lover on your list (A Smart Cupanion will keep your drink warm all the live long day.  It is amazing, and the current line of colours is gorgeous), head over to their  Online shop to purchase, or shop at their Guelph office and get a 10% discount on your in-person purchase.  Yep, that's right, you get a deal just for showing your face!

blooms and flora

If you haven't yet visited this store you simply must - it looks beatuiful, and it smells lovely, and the staff are kind and helpful.  They've got a wide range of products available to make a home just a bit more homey, and they are a great spot to go if you'd like to check a number of gifts off your list at once.  Choose from Turkish towels, candles, plant accessories, terrariums, soaps, pins, and so much more.  Some of our favourite ideas for gifting this season are their Flower Subscription, which sees the receiver getting a beautiful arrangement, designed just for them, delivered every month for the whole year, and their Workshops, teaching everything from creating a centrepiece, to making soap, to macrame.

la luma

Aside from, of course, a gift certificate, La Luma has some great options for holiday gifts this year.  The salon uses Eufora products in their work at the salon, and they are currently offering a number of great Gift Sets as well.  Our favourite options are the  $79 Renew and Glow Set (shampoo, treatment, hand cream and glow shimmer lotion) and the $85 Body and Sparkle set (shampoo, conditioner, treatment, glow shimmer lotion).   Eufora ia a brand that is focussed on environmental responsibity, integrity, and safe, high quality products.

comfort co

With something for everyone, Comfort and Co is a must stop shop tucked away on Quebec Street.  The store offers a multitude of options for all those on your list - candles, blankets, throws, pillows, handbags, apparel, wall art - you name it!  If it is beautiful, you will probably find it here!  One of our favourites is the bicycle bowl featured in this video

If you're someone who does a lot of gifting throughout the year, and you'd like to have something unique and meaningful on hand, look no further than Givesome - their app allows individuals to give donations in any amount to a project or organization of their choosing.  And the best part is that they also get photo and video feedback once the project is completed - they can see their gift in action!  It's a great option, and the way to be the gift hero giving this experience away is to purchase  Givecards - like a giftcard, these can be given away as gifts and the recipient can use the amount loaded on the card to donate to whichever one of the App's featured projects means the most to them.  Keep in mind, these are custom created for each purchase, so order early to ensure you have them on time.

If you're more keen to donate in honour of the individuals on your list this year, keep reading for some organizations that will put your money to great use!

Giving gifts is one of my favourite parts of this holiday season, and I love to make sure each one is personal and just right for the person I am giving it to.  I'm glad to know such a great pool of local businesses and organizations doing incredible work - it makes my conscience feel good about the purchases made at this time of year.  What are some of your favourite finds for gifts this year?  What's on your own wish list?
